FUSS FREE MAKEUP & SKINCARE BY PIXI BEAUTY
Last week I was invited along to the Pixi by Petra beauty store in London for their new spring beauty launches; a four-part limited edition line created by four leading beauty influencers. This season, the British makeup and skin-care brand founded by professional makeup artist Petra Strand, decided to collaborate with bloggers, Caroline Hirons, Judy Travis, Maryam Maquillage, and Aspyn Ovard to co-design the limited edition makeup & skincare sets. Each of the four women was given the task to sit down with Strand to co-design a few pieces based on their makeup or skin-care interests and real-life needs.
First up, Caroline Hirons, who is passionate about double-cleansing created a two-in-one, fragrance-free cleansing treatment with a solid balm on one side and a cream cleanser on the opposite side, aptly named Double Cleanse.
I enjoyed using the cleanser last night, it certainly left my skin feeling fresh and clean, would I recommend it, Yes! The textures are light and you only need a small pea size of product to get great results!
Judy Travis, opted to create two custom 12-shade palettes—one for eyes, ItsEyeTime, and one for lips, ItsLipTime. The ItsEyeTime palette features 12 matte and shimmer neutral-hued shades that can easily be built up, while the ItsLipTime palette also comes with 12 everyday shades made to be mix-and-matched and worn on both lips and cheeks.
I tried the lip palette this morning on set, for a day look – I particularly liked the nude tones as they are fresh and very wearable!

Maryam Maquillage, tapped into her love of sculpting to arrive at her two contouring palettes—the Strobe & Bronze Glow & Bronze palette and the Strobe & Sculpt Highlight and Contour palette which comes with its own Strobe & Sculpt Brush. Each palette comes with six shades—in both matte and shimmer textures.
I’m not a great fan of powder bronzers, sometimes they can look too fake on the skin if you are too heavy handed and apply too much product. However, I was impressed by the lightness of the pigment in this palette, after a light dusting over my cheeks, I was happy with the natural healthy glow it gave me.
Finally, Aspyn Ovard decided to design a trio of face products that add a subtle flush to any look without appearing overdone. The Glow-y Powder Highlighter & Cheek Powders come in three shades, all named after her favorite travel destinations: the soft golden London Lustre, the warm bronzer Santorini Sunrise, and the shimmery rose-hued Rome Rose blush. Her collection also features the Eye Accents, a two-piece addition including the clear gel Brow Tamer and the Precision Mascara Lower Lash Mascara.
I have just tried out the mascara in this set, and it’s great! The tiny wand caught all my eyelashes to evenly coat with a dark coating of black. Impressed ✔︎✔︎
